Neville & Jasline’s Wedding

Neville & Jasline were married at the Blue Ginger Restaurant last month. It was an upbeat and extremely relaxed affair with family and friends coming together to celebrate with the couple. The place was packed and it was an interesting challenge to recognise, isolate and capture moments that I felt were representative of their wedding day. I like the following quote by Elliot Erwitt on the importance of being able to notice things when it comes to photography.

“All the technique in the world doesn’t compensate for the inability to notice.” – Elliott Erwitt

The following are some highlights from the wedding.

Family Shoots – Candids

I was recently reviewing some photos from a family shoot and was thinking to myself how much I enjoyed seeing the candid shots while working towards the final posed photographs. There were images of the family interacting with one another, fleeting moments captured during the rest periods and even unexpected ones during the posed shots. This is very close to my own photographs of my family. Over 90% of the images I take of my kids are candids or moments I think are interesting and worth documenting. The moments may not always produce the most flattering shots of my kids (e.g. crying, eating, snot bubbles, etc) but I still love them all the same and so do my kids!

The following are some images from the family shoot. Many of them are candids.

Pet Photography : Opal The Beagle

About a week ago, I spent some time at the Singapore Botanic Gardens with Chee Ming, Angelia and their 11-year old beagle Opal.  It has been a while since my last pet photography shoot, so I was really looking forward to this one. Chee Ming & Angelia were a fun couple to photograph and their obvious affection for Opal was a pleasure to capture.

The following are a selection of photos from the shoot.
