Wedding : Pete & Sherlynn

Pete & Sherlynn were married at the Blue Ginger Restaurant about a month ago. Pete & Sherlynn chose a very unique Monopoly theme for their wedding decorations.

For the shorter 2 to 3-h wedding coverages, about 50% of the couples engage me to photograph the make-up and their getting ready on the actual day. I personally love covering this part of the wedding day. It is a chance for me to catch the bride and sometimes the groom in a quieter and more introspective mood as they prepare for the wedding. Many of my favourite shots from a wedding usually come from this portion of the day.

The following are some highlights from Pete & Sherlynn’s wedding. They were a wonderful and hospitable couple to work with and I wish them my heartiest congratulations on their wedding! A special congratulations to the Blue Ginger Restaurant too for being awarded the Bib Gourmand Award by the Michelin guide. Their standard of food and the effort they take to create special wedding themes for their clients never fail to impress me.

Faith’s 1st Birthday Party

Faith turned 1 last month and her family and friends came together to celebrate the milestone. Faith was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and all the decorations had to do with things found in the woods. The reception and photo table were done by 47 Sixty while the balloon decorations were put up by Little Red Balloon. As for the elaborate dessert table featuring a woodlands theme, credit goes to Little House of Dreams. The play doh table was provided by Faith’s mum. I especially enjoyed capturing the kids at play and their interaction with the adults.

After the party, I took home a few small balloon sculptures as well as one of the huge red round balloons for my kids. My son, who is going to be 20 months old, loves balloons and always says ‘Boooooon!’ whenever he sees one. He was quite delighted with the giant red balloon and had lots of fun playing with it.

The following are a selection of photographs from Faith’s 1st birthday party.

Wedding : Emmanuel & Su

Emmanuel & Su were married at a cosy ceremony at the Blue Ginger Restaurant earlier this month. It was attended by immediate family and close friends. The couple were extremely friendly and pleasant to work with. Emmanuel is a Filipino based in Melbourne, Australia. Su is Burmese and currently based in Singapore.

I have done quite a number of shoots for the Blue Ginger Restaurant in the past few years. The shoots were varied – food, interiors, wedding themes, and events at the restaurant or at other locations. They have a solid event planning team that customises each event’s decorations according to the theme selected by the client. Quite a number of their wedding themes that I photographed are featured on their Facebook page Soulmates at the Blue Ginger.

The following are some highlights from Emmanuel & Su’s wedding.
