Jacqueline’s Baptism

One of the good things about being a photographer is having the opportunity to capture certain milestones in the lives of people. The milestones might be a wedding, the birth of a child, birthday celebrations or simply the first time a baby tastes certain foods. 4-month old baby Jacqueline was baptised at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour a few weeks ago and I had the privilege of documenting the occasion.

I had previously done family and birthday shoots for Jacqueline’s parents (James and Patricia) and her big brother Jordan (see HERE and HERE); so it was really nice to see them again. The baptism was a simple affair that was also attended by Jacqueline’s godmother.

The following are a selection of photos from the baptism:-

Patrick & Joscelin’s Family Shoot

Patrick and Joscelin welcomed the birth of their son Joel early this year. Patrick’s parents recently visited Singapore from Mauritius and they took the opportunity to do a family shoot together with Joscelin’s parents, her sister and brother-in-law.

One of the things I enjoy about family shoots is to capture that special ‘look’ that parents have for their babies. Most of the time, it is more obvious on the mother’s face; so it is especially heartwarming for me when I see it on the father’s face. It is a look of wonder, adoration, love and gentleness all rolled into one. :)

Siang Ming & Leng See’s Family Shoot

In March, I met up with Siang Ming, Leng See and their 3 children for a family shoot at the Botanic Gardens. Siang Ming was an army mate of mine. The last time I saw him was over 20 years ago; so I was pleasantly surprised when his wife contacted me about doing a family shoot for them.

The 2 older children, Hann-Ya and Hann-Jen, were very well behaved and easy to work with during the shoot. They looked after their baby brother Gerard and it was most heartwarming to see how they interacted with one another as well as with their parents.

Here are a selection of photographs from the shoot.
