Limited Edition Print Sale – Kungfu Panda . . . not

Last week, I caught the highly entertaining animated movie Kung Fu Panda 2.  With the movie fresh in my mind, I decided to have a Limited Edition print offer on a Panda photograph from my ongoing Zoo series.  The aim of the Zoo series has been to capture the animals in their “unnatural” environment, often with the inclusion of humans gawking at them.  Most of the time, the animals are oblivious to the comings and goings of the various groups of “paparazzi” as they go about their daily routine.  In the case of Mr Panda, the daily routine mainly consists of consuming large amounts of bamboo and sleeping.

This Limited Edition print offer is for the following Panda photograph:

The photograph was taken last year in Hong Kong’s Ocean Park.  This was the only photograph that I took of Mr Panda that survived as I incorrectly loaded the film in my other film camera which I was using for the first time (a secondhand Contax T).  This surviving photograph was taken on my Ricoh GR1v film camera and Kodak TriX black and white film.  The print comes in an Edition of 5.  Printed on large baryta fiber-based archival paper, the printed image area is 12 x 18″.  Each print is signed and numbered.

Pricing of the prints are :- $500 each.  An optional framing service (black wooden frame with the print mounted using archival acid free matt boards) costs an additional $200.  For the month of June 2011, I am offering a discount of 10% off the print price.  Do drop me a note using the Contact Me form if you are interested.  First-come-first-serve basis.

Update: Print 1/5 has been taken.
